Easy Easter Nests

Hey Everyone,

Can you believe its nearly Easter?

I'm never prepared early enough, but I made these super easy and quick Easter nests for the kids as a treat and now I'll have to make more for next weekend!

You need 3 ingredients for the nest!

Rice cereal, coconut and chocolate buttons
!

Melt the chocolate buttons in a bowl in the microwave, stir in the rice cereal and coconut. I always add small amounts of cereal and coconut at a time to the chocolate, making sure the chocolate coats evenly.

Press the mixture into a mould (I used my mini muffin tray) and set in the fridge.

Add the speckled eggs and voila!

Seriously, how cute are they? My kids just loved them and they were fun to make too.

Happy Easter!
Take care

Fun Bunny Nails

So I tried to do cute nail art... note the word "tried", for Easter... but alas, it looked better in my mind.

My girls love having their nails done so when I saw these sweet bunnies I decided to give it a go.

I did Payton's nails first - in my defense, she was not the most patient customer...
 She did love them though...
Then I did Maclayne's nail..yep 1 nail.. I'd learned my lesson by then! She smudged it pretty much immediately after the photo..sigh!
Then I tried to do a better job on me.... yeah, it didn't work like that!

But we had fun, loads of girly giggling and twirling and happiness. So for the girls, their nails were a success and they beg me almost daily to do them again. And even though it's not the best nail art, I'll definitely be trying out new ideas for my girls (yes...and me!)

Happy Easter everyone

Take care

Easy Easter Basket

 Happy Easter Everyone!

Are you stuck for a quick and last minute Easter basket?
You can easily make your own....

You will need:
A basket, a small rectangle of wood, chalkboard paint or sticker and paint.

Make a hole at each end of the wooden tag and cut a cahlboard sticker to size and stick on to the tag, or alternatively paint the tag.

Paint the basket, add the chalkboard tag once dry and write your message...

 Fill with yummy treats!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend and take care everyone,

Cute Easter Chicks

Hey Everyone,

Easter is next weekend...can you believe it? Time is just flying at the moment and I admit to having to race to catch up lately...

I wanted to find an easy craft I could do with the kids, that wasn't messy and  didn't take forever. And while googling "kids Easter crafts" I found these adorable chicks at Paging Supermom.

This is the easiest kids' craft EVER!!!

What you need:

Coloured card, googly eyes, craft glue and scissors.
Feathers optional.

What to do:
Cut a circle for the head. Cut a rectangle for the beak, and shape it into a triangle.
Glue the beak and eyes on.
Cut slits on each side of the head (if you want to make a banner, otherwise this step can be skipped)
And glue a feather onto the back of the head (optional)

 How adorable are they?
They look so worried..bless them
String them together (I used nylon line) and hang them up around the house.

From start to finish each chick took me about 5 minutes. And the kids loved making them too.

Its starting to look like Easter....

Take care everyone,
