Family Sign

I have to admit to you all that I'm in a bit of a creative fog right now.
I'm just taking it slow and hoping inspiration hits real soon.

I made this cute little sign a while ago now, so thought I would show you how!

I think I got the Family sign at Spotlight with a voucher.

Firstly I painted the wood a charcoal colour, then the turquoise over it. I distressed it so that a fair bit of the charcoal showed through. Then using card rub-ons I added some detail to the sign.

I love card rub-ons they are so versatile and add to the overall look of the finished item.

To add some protection to the sign, I gave it a few coats of varnish.

So cute - it looks right at home on the shelf

Take care everyone,

  3. Well, that is just precious. I love the little decals and you can't go wrong with that color. I really hope you get a huge dose of creativity soon. Probably when you get some good sleep and relaxation you will. Lord knows I go blank of all creativity when I've got too much going on. You'll be churning out the creative projects in no time!
