TONGUE IN CHEEK TUESDAY - JUNK IN OUR TRUNKS

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Today I am taking part in Tongue in Cheek Tuesday... Junk in our Trunks link party! My good blog buddies Mel from Mellywood's Mansion and Danni from Silo Hill Farm have twisted my arm encouraged me to share my junk, as they co-host with 3 other awesome bloggers...

Today I'm gonna show you my craft area...I'm usually a neat freak but lets just say...not so much at the moment!!!
We have a little house as I've mentioned before and my craft space is pretty much in full view of our everyday lives....

Right.... Jumping straight into the horror...

My craft cupboard....those drawers are full! But lets have a little looky at the crap on top...
My phone - yup thats fine. The Sky TV remote.... not the right place and dont know why its here.
A mouse and keyboard for Sean's computer and some computer stuff... dumped there by the man himself... Some projects I'm working on....Ugly!! An eyesore!!! Oh look my camera's instruction manual - yeah that's a great spot for it!

Right next to the craft cupboard... my beachy side table with my sewing machine stacked on top of it!
That book shoved down the side is my sewing machine's instruction manual. See a pattern here people???
Right next to the machine, a bucket of thread... and some beads balancing on top.... There's my little drawer system for storing my created jewelry pieces  and yes that's a princess crown on the floor! right next to the foot of the sewing machine is the cover for it... Hmmm.... not good!

Next stop... the dining table... not too bad I guess -there you can see my bead soup that I'm working on...
But lets look a little closer at the COMPUTER that's sitting on the table!!!! Its been there for 2 months! That's 8 WEEKS!!! What is the man doing????
And next to the computer a few power tools (under the yellow birthday card for Gabe). Grrrrrr....

Anyhoo.....right behind me is my storage chest...and yes that's sewing that's sitting there NOT being done, a storage box for said sewing, which is stacked in a cardboard box instead....I guess I've left it for now because I want to paint that chest soon. A bag of books and the box for the slip and slide all balancing on top! Nice!

Lets end the horror here shall we?... this is Gabe's entertainment centre - he has his gaming consoles in the cupboard and the computer.... but looky on the floor!

Sigh....I'm done...

 Take care everyone

  1. At first the "Thursday" threw me--I thought maybe you were time traveling--then I remembered that Melly is down your direction, where it IS Thursday! Thanks for linking up--it's nice to know I'm not the only one with a mess!

  2. Oh Natalie! You are so funny! I long ago lost my camera AND my sewing machine manuals..at least you have yours! I'm worried about those precariously perched beads in that first pic!! Whoever said a dining table was for eating, obviously wasn't a crafter!! Or a computer guru!! Of course Gabe doesn't use that fabulous cabinet you made....the floor is apparently trendier these days. I love that you have a storage box for your sewing...sitting next to the sewing!!! LOL!! Thanks for linking up girl...you're a riot!

  3. I have come to the conclusion IF I even had a dedicated space for crafting, I'd still haul it to the dining room table. I know no other way!

  5. I reclaimed my dining table a few years back and have been fighting to keep it for it's intended purpose ever since. I think males are genetically predisposed to see dining tables as storage areas.

As for the gaming systems--they are electronic octopuses that grow and shed continuously! I will be sorry when my youngest moves out on his own in the coming year, but I will NOT miss his computer/gaming stuff. My biggest fear is that he will not take all of it with him!

  6. I love this party - my favorite find in your pics, the princess crown :) Everything looks pretty organized...for what feels like chaos for you! The computer on the table for 8 weeks...hahaha, let us know how long it's takes for him to move it! I love seeing where you create your beautiful jewelry! Thanks for the fun share, Nat!

  10. Hi Natalie, I have many similar concoctions of junk at my house, perhaps with a slightly different recipe on each grouping, but I can definitely relate! Especially on the "sitting there for 8 weeks" kinda thing. It's still worth it though, right? And I love your craft cupboard!! Amy

    1. Thanks Amy - that craft cupboard was a labour of love and the kids love sticking their dirty kid feet all over it...sigh!
But I suppose that's okay compared to the hot mess of the rest of the area xx Nat

  11. Too funny! My craft room looks about like that right now and it was perfectly pristine a few months ago after a makeover. I love your craft cupboard! Power tools on the dining table? Why not? You never know when you might have to DIY some dinner to go with the bead soup first course. This was really fun to read Natalie! I'm now a follower!
