I have had this gorgeous Seascape painting for years and years.
I'm not sure how long, but it has spent the last 10 years in storage (at the back of my cupboard).
The frame was so not me! I think that's why it was packed away...
But just look at the painting....Its stunning.
I decided I had nothing to lose, painted the whole frame, even the fabric bit, white.
I distressed it a little and what a difference.
I love, love, love it!
What do you all think? Looks great right?
So glad I made the frame over - now I have a fab "new" painting to admire.
Geez Nats...... Huge improvement!!!ReplyDelete
I really really LOVE your "After" Version - well done my friend.
Thanks hunni xxxDelete
Leave it to you to make me jealous over something beachy....again!! I think it looks super! The white really makes the picture pop! Nice job!ReplyDelete

Thanks Fiona. I cant remember how I got to have this painting, its been driving me nuts. xxxDelete
I LOVE it!! I've been doing this to many of my frames around the house... suddenly so much of the stuff I loved that was getting close to tacky, is now so chic! :) Great job!ReplyDelete
Its amazing what a difference it makes and it actually looks amazing. Hope you are feeling heaps better hun xxxxDelete
What a huge difference the white makes, Nat. I swear I saw a painting exactly like this with an identical frame to your "before"...except the one I saw was like 3ft by 5ft (HUGE!). I stared at it for a long time and then left it there. Now I'm kicking myself because this looks amazing.ReplyDelete
Oh no Sherry! Hopefully you will see something like it again. Big hugs xxxDelete
I can't believe how much brighter (and attractive) this painting looks with the white frame! Nice job.ReplyDelete
It's made such a huge difference and I'm really enjoying it now. xxx NatDelete
Thanks Hun xxxReplyDelete

I love it when someone can see past what is ... to what it could be! I am able to do that too. For the most part. :) Thank you for sharing your talent with us at The "Sunday Stop"!!!ReplyDelete
Bj it took me over 10 years to finally see what it could be lol. Thank you for your sweet comments xx NatDelete
