Labour of Love

Hi Everyone,
I would like to be able to tell you how I whipped this little project together super quickly, but alas it took nearly a week....

This is what I started with.... On a trip to Spotlight I found the LOVE sign for $11 (over half off - woohoo!!!) and I had a plan....

And my plan was sooo wrong!!!

Okay, so I painted it blue.....sigh, it still didn't look right.....

I decided to age it a little with tea (my secret stain)

 still wasn't right, distress it....nope....

add more tea to see if that might help.....

Definitely hate it.....

In desperation, I dug through my scrapbook papers and decided on this..... I glued it on and cut the shape out and played around a little with the look....

Now its up on the wall awaiting the rest of the gallery wall to be finalised.... And Im loving it...

What do you all think?

Take care everyone,

xxx

  4. Awesomeness! I love how you "beached it up"! By the way...those corded bracelets I made...you can make those cords..they're just a series of 4 overhand knots. I'll try to do a tutorial on them soon.
